EQUINE PHYSIOTHERAPY

Tara form Perform Chartered Physio provides assessment and treatment of your horse at your yard. The aim of an Equine Physiotherapy session is to be able to restore movement, decrease pain and achieve optimal function. 

Equine problems that can benefit from Veterinary Physiotherapy

  • Soft tissue injury (muscles, tendons and ligaments)

  • Joint problems (arthritis/degenerative joint disease, pain/swelling/stiffness in joints )

  • Back pain

  • Poor performance

  • Behavioural changes

  • Lameness (and secondary compensations related to lameness)

  • Asymmetry due to muscle imbalance

  • Nerve injuries

  • Post surgical rehabilitation

  • Elderly Horses 

Your horse will be fully assessed at each session looking at static symmetry, movement and palpation as well as taking a full history from the owner.
