My Story
Claire has been a sports and remedial therapist since 2011, running her own clinics across the Shire. She also provides pilates classes for small groups and 1 to 1 online and in person, as well as pregnancy and post-natal massages treatments.
Claire has worked with a wide range of athletes throughout her career from Team GB runners to equestrians and many sports in between, as well as those who have sustained injury through work place stresses and position.
Claire has worked closely with MND Scotland over the past five years from providing hands on treatment to MND patients in Aberdeen City and Shire to support them as they live with this disease as well as fundraising (running over 50 marathons including 12in12 days from Aberdeen to Rathleague in Rep Ireland in memory of her Uncle who died from Motor Neurone Disease). This is a cause massively important to Claire and her family and she continues to do her best to raise awareness and support those living with this disease.
"I love what I do and seeing the improvements and changes that my patients make and the goals they achieve. I believe hands-on therapy is vital for us all to recover, maintain and progress our physical fitness. As a marathon and ultra marathon runner, I know first hand how important it is to maintain our bodies so that we get the very best from them, regardless of our lifestyles and activity levels."
Claire has a keen interest in mental as well as physical health, and is a trained counsellor who often works with large organisations to promote mental health in the workplace as well as with individuals and small groups at retreats and workshops.
